Young refugee walking under the rain in the jungle.
Thousands of refugees are living in « The Jungle » of Calais in France.
There I met Syrians, Afghans, Eritreans, Sudanese and Egyptians. Most of them are engineers, doctors or teachers. Everyone at the jungle is hoping to find a peaceful place to live and work. That’s why every night, families are trying relentlessly to go to England to rebuild their lives far from war and violence.
Here are some pictures of the jungle and its inhabitants. These people deserve respect for what they went through, I hope that those pictures will help the viewer to understand that nobody comes to steal anything from anyone, they’re here to contribute, so let’s help them to feel welcomed.
